mod post: voting comments
Hello members. I saw a couple of posts at mod_lims that really got me to thinking about the comments people write when voting. And, then I realized, "wow, I really need to be more strict with having people elaborate more". In the beginning I was, then I started to slack.

Basically, what I'm trying to get at is that starting with the new challenge, I will be very strict with what is acceptable and what's not acceptable as a comment. For both least favorite and favorite comments, you need to be constructive. I figured I'll fair and wait 'til the new challenge.

With least favorite comments, tell them why you think it is "too plain", "poorly cropped and/or colored", or anything. Tell the iconists what you are voting them off in the most elaborate way possible. When the iconists see a negative vote, they want to read the comment for help to improve next time. As for favorite votes, you need to do the same thing. Tell them why its "great coloring/cropping" and such. This helps them just as much as a negative vote, because they know what people like and they can do more of and remember it for next time.

Also, don't be afraid to be simple in terminology. As it said in the post at mod_lims, it's better to speak with simple terms then misuse a term. You don't have to be fancy and "use big words". As long as you get your point across clearly, it's good.

If you're still having trouble, please check the two posts at mod_lims here:
